Krishna Sanctuary provides a wonderful getaway from city life for those wanting to experience living as naturally as possible. Here, you will find yourself in pristine surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle, and technology that sucks your time and energy, allowing you to truly introspect. Your proximity with nature will provide a refreshing outlook on life. Allow the Krishna Sanctuary experience to renew you - body, mind and soul.
We are providing these facilities on a donation basis. For those unsure of how much to give, we have recommended an amount against each facility. To help us maintain these facilities and continue our services for everyone, please donate generously from your heart.
Facilities:
One Private Cabin (10 square metres) having outdoor relaxing area with wood burner and includes use of hot shower. Bedding is provided but you bring your towels and toiletries. Sleeps two people comfortably. $160 per night
One Shared Cabin (30 square metres) with wood burner and use of hot shower - Bring your towels, toiletries, sleeping bags and mats. $50 per person per night
Tent site in our food forest, includes a hot shower - Bring your towel, toiletries, tent, sleeping bag and mat. $15 per person per night
Our composting toilets are truly revolutionary and are cleaned out everyday.
There are no cooking facilities in our cabins but instead we provide healthy and delicious vegetarian/ vegan meals for $10 per meal as follows:
Breakfast: Between 9 and 9:30am
Sumptuous Lunch: Between 2 and 3pm
Light evening snack and hot drink: Between 7 and 7:30pm
Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions at least a day before your arrival.
Please note there is no electricity, phone or internet services available in the cabins. Only a rechargeable lamp is provided in each cabin. This is intentional for you to truly experience the natural surroundings as they are meant to be.
Limited internet access and device charging facilities are available near the main house.
Other facilities available for use are:
Wood-fired Hot Tub - to soak in and relieve all your bodily aches and pains. Must be booked a day in advance. $20 per person using the tub, $80 minimum to operate. Up to four people can use at a time.
Wood-fired Sauna - to sweat out the toxins and relax. Must be booked a day in advance. $20 per person using the sauna, $80 minimum to operate. Up to four people can use at a time.
An inversion table to stretch out your back is available on a complimentary basis in the shared cabin. If using, please first ask your hosts to set it up for your height and then use it at your own risk.
The above facilities are also used for guests participating in our retreats.
A few expectations of you
We request you to please be mindful of a few expectations we have of you during your time at Krishna Sanctuary:
- Please try and arrive between 1 and 5pm so we are able to serve you to the best of our ability.
- Please bring with you:
a. sturdy and practical walking shoes, jandals, and/or boots (especially if the weather is bad)
b. swimming togs to enjoy a cool, refreshing bath in our stream (weather permitting) OR if planning to use the hot tub and/or sauna
c. clothes that you are comfortable in for walking around our property
d. hat for protection from the sun; raincoat/rain jacket, sturdy umbrella for rainy weather
e. towels and toiletries (we provide only soap in the shower)
f. sleeping bag and mat OR bedding as per your booking
g. a powerful torch
h. water bottle(s) and flask (if you need hot water)
i. any vegetarian or vegan snacks and/or baby food, as per your needs.
- Food is sacred and precious for sustaining life - please don't waste. We recommend you wash your hands before and after eating.
- Please pitch your tent only after speaking with your hosts - Jayanti and/ or Abhay.
- Please respect our gardens by:
- not plucking any fruits or flowers;
- being careful not to damage any plants, including not hanging clothes on trees instead only use clotheslines provided;
- leaving the place clean - only biodegradable waste can be left on the land. Remove any stickers from store-bought fruit before throwing away fruit peels on the land. Please use only provided bins for any other rubbish. NOTE: We do not have a council rubbish pick up service so we request you to minimise the plastic and inorganic waste that you may generate during your stay here.
- To maintain the sanctity of this place while you are here, please avoid consumption of alcohol, drugs or any meat, chicken or fish.
- This is a smoke-free, vape-free property. If you need to smoke or vape, please do so outside the property.
- While we have taken utmost care for you to have a memorable time at Krishna Sanctuary, you are ultimately responsible for your care and safety and for others', who are your responsibility, while you are here. Your hosts cannot be held liable for any incidents that may occur during your stay here.
- Please take the time to pack up carefully when you leave here as it may be difficult for us to post forgotten items to you.
